How To Extend Visual Studio 2013 Trial Period
I am using Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate Trial version for bulding Silverlight 4 projects. I have extend my Tral Period once by 60 Days, but now it is going to expire. So Is it possible to extend again. I have the trial version of Visual Studio 2010. 60 days ago, I extended the trial version, but now the period is over. I again attempted to extend it, but it is not accepting the key I got from Microsoft.

If you want to test drive Microsoft Office 2013, Microsoft gives a 30 day trial for getting familiar with the suite. You can download Office 2013 here. If you are a regular reader of Technize.net, you would have read about how to use Windows 8 for 180 days while the official trial is of 30 days.
The same rearm feature that we used to extend the trial of Windows 8 can also be used for Microsoft Office 2013. This method is legal and is provided by Microsoft especially for volume license customers.
After 30 days of use, Office 2013 needs to be activated for further use. The rearm feature can be used to extend the trial further for 30 more days. You will be able to use the rearm command for 5 times making it a total of 180 days or 6 months.
We will discuss two methods of rearming and extending Office 2013 trial license.Just make sure that you are rearming on the last day before your trial expires. This is to make sure that you get full 180 days trial. Otherwise, if you are rearming in the middle of the trial, it will add another 30 days to the trial. For example, if you rearm on the 15th day, it will extend the trial for the next 30 days making your trial 45 days long and not 60 days.
Rearm Office 2013 manually
To extend the Office 2013 trial, follow the steps below.
- Make sure all Office 2013 applications are closed.
- Open command prompt with elevated privileges (Windows Key + X + A)
- Go to the following folder:
32-bit Office installation = C:Program Files(x86)Microsoft OfficeOffice 15
64-bit Office installation = C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOffice 15 - After you reach the above folder, run the following command: ospprearm
- If the rearm is successful, the following message will be displayed:
'Microsoft Office rearm successful.'

Rearm Office 2013 using Office Trial Extender
Office Trial Extender is a tool which can be used to automate the rearming process. You can schedule it to run after every 29 or 30 days to extend the trial to the next 30 days.
Office Trial Extender is very easy to use. You can download it from the following location and install it on your computer. Unfortunately there is no portable edition of the program.
Note: There is a file embedded within this post, please visit this post to download the file.There are only two buttons on the Office Trial Extender, one for rearming Office 2010 and the other for rearming Office 2013. Clicking on the appropriate button will rearm the Office installation automatically.
How To Extend Visual Studio
The only thing you need to be careful about is the installation of Office Trial Extender. The setup comes with extra software installations which need to be avoided by declining their license agreements.
I installed an extra add-on by mistake and was greeted with Internet Explorer 10 dialog box that the toolbar was trying to change the search provider which is always dangerous unless you know and trust the search provider.
When you run Office Trial Extender, you will be asked if you want to run the app with administrative privileges. You will need to click the Yes button in order for the app to run properly.
